I came across this pod while the kids & hubby were running the bases at our local baseball field. I love the simplicity of this shot as well as the coloring. Even though it’s mundane, it’s still beautiful.

This week I’m going Pro Trablogger with there link up.  Come check out other Mundane Monday posts.
What have you captured today?

Perspective, Angles, & Thinking Outside the Box

Yesterday’s assignment with the kiddos, we did the theme “50 steps.” I’m sure most of you know what it is but for those of you that don’t it’s where you take a certain amount of steps and photograph something around you. Then you continue on, taking the steps and photographing the world around you. It’s a great way to be creative with the kids, trying to teach them perspective, angles, & thinking outside the box. Here’s an image I took to show them how much better it looks when not take straight on. Just a slight angle can make all the difference.

What’s going on in your world today?

Sharing with:

I’ve been wanting to participate in Cee’s Share Your World and I finally got down to doing it 🙂  Here’s my week’s contribution for this week’s challenge.

What is your favorite piece of art? (it doesn’t have to be famous)
It’s anything my children bring home.  Having 5 kids, I have gotten a good range of different things over the years that I just cherish.  The extra special ones, I put on a shelf with family pics so they know how proud I am and how much I love them.

What made you smile today?
My little girls and I took Rosco on our walk today and they all cracked me up.  When found a trail that was covered in snow and less than 5 mins everyone except me was covered.  Then the girls took turns running up and down with Rosco & throwing snow at him for a snowball fight.

Which place do you recommend as a Must-See? Please state which country, state or providence.
My neck of the woods, Monadnock Region of NH in the late spring, summer, or early-mid fall.  It’s absolutely gorgeous with so many things to do from hiking trails that leads you to all sorts of places, to theater from the Peterborough Players, festivals of all kinds for pretty much anything  & more.  There is so much to do in such a small area, which is why we get so many tourists here.

Complete this sentence: When I was younger I used to….
be a complete pain in the ass.  One day my dad warned me if I didn’t listen and act like I was supposed to, when I grew up I would have a kid who was worse than me.  Did I listen?

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful that I took the 1st steps in becoming healthier by eliminating an unhealthy habit (diet coke addiction) I’ve had for the last 26 yrs.

Adventures of Benny the Bear

Off for an adventure with Benny the bear……..
Benny the Bear is a fun project my 2nd grader is sent home with a few times this school year.  She brings this cute teddy bear home with a book that she writes all about their adventures together.  She gets him for the entire weekend, which is exciting for her.  Today’s adventure in the snow storm was filled with exploring our small town during the storm, walking around, sledding, rolling around, and making snowmen with friends for Benny.  Who knows what tomorrow bring with Benny the Bear.

Fire & Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
