Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: This Land Is My Land, 2 verses

“As I was walking that ribbon of highway,
I saw above me that endless skyway:
I saw below me that golden valley:
This land was made for you and me.
 I’ve roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps,
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts;
And all around me a voice was sounding:
This land was made for you and me.”

Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: 2015 Week #4

This skeleton (I call Skeleta) is something I stumbled upon, that really caught my eye during one of my walks.  For some reason, I really liked what this bead store did with their girl, but I kept thinking how odd it was.  How odd and out of place this seemed to be as their entrance decoration.  I think I really like it because of all the colors in it, along with various items, not just the same things over and over.  This makes it interesting to me, because each time I look at it, I found something new I didn’t see before.

Happiness Is

“The best way of removing negativity is to laugh and be joyous.” ~David Icke

“Filter all negativity to produce positive ripples.” ~Cherie Roe Dirksen

One of my 2015 goals, is to be more positive, happier in my life, which is sometimes hard when life throws punches at you.  For this project, I plan on highlighting happiness & joy from the world around me and what it looks like making the main focus be positive & uplifting.

Beautiful Journey

2014-12-26 16.09.42-1_2_fused

The pic above was taken on a stressful day for me.  I stumbled upon this farm and had to pull over.  Once I started taking pics (looking like a weirdo of course) I became so engulfed with what I was doing, I was able to rest my mind, putting my stresses on the backburner.  I was so thankful for this moment, one that I was able to relax, reflect, & enjoy the simple things (whether its a moment, thing, person, or feeling) that each of our lives hold.  In those simple things, comes the greatest beauty.  My intention for this project is to make my own visual journal highlighting the beauty in our journey.
