“So long as the memory of certain beloved friends lives in my heart, I shall say that life is good.” ~Helen Keller
For most of us, when we were younger, we had certain stuffies or blankets or that certain something that we couldn’t part or live without. For some, their attachment lasts a long time, depending how important this item is to them. I myself had a Teddy Ruxpin (yup, I just completely aged myself, hahahaha) and I had my dirty & holey yellow blanket I called Blankie. I know I know, I wasn’t very original, it was before my creativeness came to the surface. I couldn’t separate from my blanket till around 10 yrs old. By then it was just a small piece of a full sized blanket.
My girls took after their mom, since one has a blanket and one has a piggy. But lately, this bear has been the object of their love. They even share it well, making sure each of them plays and snuggles with it. But don’t worry, they always go back to their special blanket & piggy. Those are lifetime friends……..their beloved. What was your most beloved childhood treasure?

This picture is so creative! I love it 🙂 I had a ugly doll with eyes that shut, and when I had my heart surgeries she had to be in their with me so I could open and shut her eyes with my finger. I still have er somewhere.

Just like my little girls cream colored bear except for the fact that they didn’t name her yet. 🙂

I think I’m just as attached to my children’s olives as they are/were. So many of my memories are wrapped up in seeing them enjoy their special items.

I had a feather pillow my grandma made me. I kept it forever until I gave it to my firstborn. She still has it! Our grand girl has a stuffed bunny named Sweetie that she is loving to death. 🙂 The photo of the bear being held by the child is very sweet.

I loved reading this. I wished I kept mine to give my girls, like you did. That is something that will always be cherished by numerous people.
Two things I have done with my kids are: I gave her a purity necklace last year on her 13th birthday which she just loved and saving my wedding dress as well as my daughters dress since she was the flower girl for my daughters. Being able to share those special items with our children, is so.

Thank you 🙂
I still do that for comfort or when I am bored. But instead of twirling, I just put my hair up and down a lot. HAHAHAHA And most of the time I don’t even realize it.
